Colorado Senate Candidates Meet For Final Debate

DENVER (AP) - Colorado's Senate candidates are meeting for their final debate.

Democratic Sen Mark Udall and his challenger, Republican Rep. Cory Gardner, will face off at 7 p.m. Wednesday on channel 20. The debate is the fifth and last between two candidates who have been tied in the polls since the race began more than six months ago.

The confrontation happens as voters begin to receive their mail-in ballots under Colorado's new election system. Citizens have up to Election Day to register to vote and cast their ballots.

Colorado's Senate race is considered one of the closest in the nation. Republicans need to net six seats to win control of the chamber.
