Colorado Requests To Be Added To Major Disaster Declaration List

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado is asking the federal government for financial aid to help with damage from the spring and early early storms.

The Daily Camera reports Boulder, Denver, Adams, and Park counties are requesting to be added to the major disaster declaration list. That would make them eligible for federal aid.

Boulder measured more than 18 inches of rain in June, just three inches shy of the yearly average.

Counties have to show at least $1 million in storm damage to qualify for aid.
