Colorado Mulls Lessons From 1st Month Of Pot Sales

DENVER (AP) — Colorado's marijuana experiment is going well, but state regulators say there's a lot of work to do regulating the newly legal drug.

A panel of regulators and state lawmakers met Monday to look at Colorado's six-week-old experiment with recreational pot retail.

They said that Colorado has avoided federal intervention or major public safety problems, but that there is a lot still to be determined on the legal pot experiment.

One lawmaker on the panel pointed out that alcohol prohibition ended in 1933, but alcohol bills are still routinely considered in the Legislature.
