Colorado Man Wanted For Threats To Officers Caught In Nevada

FERNLEY, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol has arrested a 55-year-old man wanted on felony warrants in Colorado, where he's accused of threatening law enforcement officers.

NHP Trooper Duncan Dauber says Eldon Lloyd Dick of Egnar, Colorado was apprehended Tuesday afternoon when he was spotted on a motorcycle on Interstate 80 near Fernley, about 35 miles east of Reno.

Dauber says Dick is considered a dangerous felon wanted in Colorado's San Miguel County Court on charges including first-degree criminal trespass, child abuse, harassment, criminal mischief and weapons violations.

Dauber says Dick had telephoned Colorado authorities several times threatening violence against them if they tried to apprehend him. But he says Egnar surrendered without incident about 4 miles east of Fernley.

He's being held in the Lyon County Jail awaiting extradition back to Colorado.
