Colorado Man Gets Prison In Texas Prostitution Case

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (AP) - A Colorado man has been sentenced to more than three years in federal prison in a prostitution and online case linked to Texas and Wyoming.

Matthew Ross Cummings of Aurora was sentenced Monday in Wichita Falls. The 24-year-old Cummings pleaded guilty to transportation of an individual to engage in prostitution.

A Texas trooper in 2013 stopped a rental truck in Wilbarger County. Cummings was driving. The trooper reported finding drugs in the truck, which was accompanied by a car.

A search led to an iPad journal by a female who wrote that she was a prostitute and Cummings was her pimp. She was in a car stopped in Clay County.

Cummings told investigators that he earlier was in Casper, Wyoming, and created an online ad for prostitution services.
