Colorado Jobless Rate Rises To 4.4 Percent

DENVER (AP) — Colorado's unemployment rate rose slightly to 4.4 percent in June, with fewer people participating in the workforce.

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment said Tuesday that the unemployment rate was up 0.1 percent from May. And the number of people actively participating in the workforce decreased 5,600.

The unemployment rate is still down from a year ago. The rate was 5.0 percent in June of 2014.
