Multiple Slide-Offs & Crashes Reported Along I-70

(CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Transportation reported multiple slide-offs and crashes on Thursday night due to slick conditions. Colorado State Patrol says multiple vehicles spun out on eastbound Interstate 70 at Floyd Hill.

Drivers can use US 6 (exit 244) to head east and avoid that area. However, the tunnels along US 6 are too low for most commercial motor vehicles. Police in Golden closed Eastbound CO-58 at Washington Avenue for a similar situation.

In addition, CDOT announced a safety closure around 10 p.m. along I-70 on the eastern plains. The highway was closed from Limon to Burlington due to whiteout conditions.
