Colorado's House Passes Bill To Help Prevent Opioid Overdoses

DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado House of Representatives voted to pass two bills which aim to make life-saving overdose reversal drugs more widely accessible. The bill would require pharmacists to offer natagonists, like narcan, when filling a prescription for a high dosage of opioids.

"Naloxone has the power to reverse overdoses and save lives. Today we voted to ensure that the Colordans who are most likely to need it can more easily access it," said Kyle Mullica, D-

The bill passed by a vote of 48-15.
