Lawmakers Propose To Return To Green/White License Plate

DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado license plates could go back to a design displaying a green mountain with a white sky, opposite of what the plates look like now.

Lawmakers advanced a bill earlier this week proposing the change.

Sen. Kevin Priola of Henderson says it would improve readability and safety. If passed, it would be a rolling change.

The first plates would be changed with new ownership of a vehicle in 2021.
