Colorado Flu Outbreak Could Be Turning A Corner
DENVER (CBS4) - Cases of influenza in Colorado could be on the decline after there were fewer reported cases of the flu last week than the previous week.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment uses tools to track the flu and they show the illness may have peaked during the week following Christmas.
In an interview with Colorado Public Radio, state epidemiologist Lisa Miller said some other flu strains could still spread, but she believes there probably won't be another major outbreak.
Two children have died from the flu this year in Colorado and approximately 1,900 people have been hospitalized.
