Colorado deputies investigating drive by shooting on Easter Sunday

Adams County deputies have taken three people into custody while investigating a drive-by shooting that left one person wounded.

Authorities initially received a report of shots fired around 2:17 p.m. in the area of E. 104th Avenue and Counter Drive. Deputies said one person was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Three people were reportedly taken into custody, and the sheriff's department said they've identified everyone they believe was involved.

There were multiple scenes under investigation, and authorities temporarily closed Brighton Road from 105th to the 10800 block of Brighton Road while detectives and investigators worked the scene.

Officials said they believe the incident began at a residence on the 10700 block of Brighton Road, and the shooting was an isolated incident. The victim remained in critical condition Sunday night.
