Colorado Delegate Attends DNC With Blindfold For Unique Protest

PHILADELPHIA, Colo. (CBS4) - On the third day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Wednesday Colorado delegates engaged in an unusual protest of sorts.

Colorado Rep. Jonathan Singer wore a blindfold to the convention. He did it after a fellow delegate, Mark Laffer, who is visually impaired had to fight to obtain a guide to help him get around.

"My state title has the word 'representative' in it. How can I effectively represent people with any kind of impairment if I don't try to walk a mile in their shoes," Singer said.

Singer says there is no technology to help the blind delegates or even an agenda in braille.
