Coronavirus In Colorado: Everyone Urged To Be Responsible Celebrating July 4th

(CBS4) - The number of coronavirus hospitalization in Colorado is declining. On Monday the number decreased by three to 132.

Even with some numbers trending down, state agencies like Colorado Parks and Wildlife want people to be cautious and responsible.

This is one of the busiest weekends of the year for parks in the state. Residents and visitors need to plan ahead, bring enough supplies and expect limited capacities.

They should avoid peak hours (between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.) and look for less popular locations.

"If you want to really guarantee your spot at whatever your place you want to go, probably the best practices are to go early in the morning," said Jason Clay, a Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman.

Health experts say it's important to know the rules for the cities and counties you visit and to always wear a mask.

"Keep yourself safe this weekend, go out there and have fun, but follow the rules and regulations," Clay said.
