Colorado Celebrates Tourism All Year Long

DENVER (CBS4)- Colorado is celebrating tourism as the summer season gets started.

Gov. John Hickenlooper helped kick off the 2015 Discover Colorado campaign Tuesday at the state capitol.

Tourism is one of Colorado's largest industries bringing in more than $17 billion in 2013.

"One of the great things that Colorado has to offer is that we are a four season tourist destination," said Hickenlooper.

Tourism employs more than 150,000 people across the state. It generates more than $976 million in local and state tax revenue.

Nationally tourism employs more than 10 million workers.
