State Capitol Flooded With Supporters Of A Higher Minimum Wage

DENVER (CBS4) - Supporters of a higher minimum wage flooded the Colorado state Capitol on Monday.
The workers are fighting for $15 an hour wages. They protested with faith and community leaders at the Capitol.
The demonstrators say a higher minimum wage is needed nationwide because it's currently too hard to raise a family with low wages.
"People cannot live on $8, $9 and hour -- it is not possible. It is not possible to live on low wages; we need the increase," a woman told the crowd.
Colorado voters will decide whether to raise the minimum wage to $12 an hour by 2020 in November. It's currently $8.31.
