Colorado Capitol Building Evacuated After Possible Bomb Threat

DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Capitol building had to be evacuated Tuesday afternoon following the Denver Broncos rally due to a possible bomb threat.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the Denver Police Department notified them about a possible bomb threat sometime after 4 p.m. Troopers evacuated the building and worked to verify the threat with the fire department and other law enforcement officers.

Committees scheduled to work tonight will reconvene Wednesday morning.

Just after 7 p.m.the State Patrol confirmed that no threat was found and the building reopened.
