Buffs To Face UConn In 1st Round Of NCAA Tournament

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The University of Colorado Buffaloes landed a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will play the University of Connecticut.

The Buffs (22-11) will play the Huskies (24-10) on Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Buffs, who finished fifth in the Pac-12 regular season, will be heading back the Big Dance for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Head coach Tad Boyle has taken CU to the postseason in all of his six seasons with school.

If the Buffs beat UConn they are likely to face No. 1 seed Kansas in the second round.
