Driver At Large After Hit & Run That Injured 2 Pedestrians

DENVER (CBS4) - The driver of a vehicle who struck pedestrians in a hit-and-run on Colorado Boulevard early Friday morning remains on the run.

Officers responded at about 2:40 a.m. after a call that a group of people was hit by a car at South Colorado Boulevard and East Iliff Avenue.

Colorado Boulevard was closed in both directions for over an hour, but reopened shortly after 4 a.m.

Two of the pedestrians were transferred to a hospital with serious bodily injuries. One was treated and released the other remained in the hospital Friday night but the condition was not released.

The victims did not know each other they just happened to be crossing at the same time.

Witnesses said the victims looked young, but officers have not released specific details.

Police said the suspect's vehicle was a dark colored truck.
