Possible Head-On Collision On I-70 Kills 3

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) -- A possible head-on collision between two vehicles in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 has killed three people Monday evening.
I70/Tower crash: 2 veh (Dodge pickup and Dodge van). 3 confirmed fatal on scene, all adults. 1 party to University Hosp. (unknown info on them). EB closed, avoid area, no ETA for reopen. Cause still under investigation.

Eastbound I-70 is presently closed at Tower Road for the duration of the investigation into this accident.
Josh Lewis of the Colorado State Patrol confirms traffic is being diverted there.
The accident scene, he says, is located near I-70 milemarker 289.
