Burning Tires, Power Lines Complicate Firefighting Efforts

DENVER (CBS4)- Burning tires inside a building that caught fire, combined with overhead power lines, complicated firefighting efforts overnight.

The fire broke out at a trailer at Colfax Avenue and Roslyn about 3:30 a.m. It was a challenge for crews as the tires kept burning.

Crews also had to wait for Xcel Energy to turn off power to the lines before they could put out the fire.

Colfax Avenue was shut down in both directions at Rosyln while crews tried to extinguish the flames.
