Cold, Snowy December Appears On Tap For Colorado

DENVER (CBS4) - NOAA released their December weather outlook on Wednesday and it's calling for an abrupt change from the warm, dry conditions experienced in October and November.

A large part of the nation, including Colorado, has the chance to see a wetter-than-normal month ahead.

NOAA's outlook also calls for below normal temperatures for the western third of the United States.

After a slow start to the snow season the prospect of a snowy pattern is excellent news for Colorado's high country where statewide snowpack was only 64 percent of the median as of November 30.
