Coal Heating System Fingered In Yampa Hotel Fire

YAMPA, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters believe a coal-fired heating system is responsible for the fire that burned downed a historic Colorado hotel in Routt County.

Yampa's Royal Hotel stood for more than a hundred years.

The fire started Saturday night. Firefighters didn't get the fire out until Sunday.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The hotel was built in 1906 by and served miners, timber and railroad crews, ranchers, and travelers on the Wolcott Stage line.
