Area Declared Off-Limits After Cliff Diver Death

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Following the drowning death of someone who was cliff jumping at Green Mountain Reservoir, authorities in Summit County have declared the activity is illegal there.

The cliff jumping had been a popular activity at a group of large rocks next to the dam.

The area is now off limits, and Summit County Sheriff's deputies will now be enforcing the no cliff jumping rule. The sheriff's office also said people can call them at 970-668-8600 to report violators.
