Christie To Hit 19 States, Including Colorado, In Final Midterm Stretch

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will visit at least 19 states during the final five days before the midterm elections, according to a schedule released on Wednesday.

Christie, who has spent more than a third of his second term stumping for candidates in his role as chair of the Republican Governors Association, will begin Thursday campaigning in Arizona with GOP gubernatorial candidate Doug Ducey. He'll then head to New Mexico for an event with Gov. Susana Martinez, followed by a rally in Colorado Springs for GOP candidate Bob Beauprez. The day will end with a return to Iowa for a rally with Gov. Terry Branstad.

On Friday, Christie's set to team up with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour for stops in Arkansas and Kansas before heading to Wisconsin with Barbour to campaign with Gov. Scott Walker, who is in a tough, high-profile election fight.

On Saturday, he'll be in Ohio with Barbour to campaign for Gov. John Kasich before a stop in Gainesville, Georgia, and a return to Florida, where he campaigned hard earlier this week with another vulnerable Republican, Gov. Rick Scott.

On Sunday, he'll attend a church service and a rally in in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with Gov. Nikki Haley before hitting Illinois to campaign with Bruce Rauner, Maryland to attend an event with Larry Hogan and Pennsylvania for a rally with Gov. Tom Corbett.

He'll spend Monday traveling through much of the Northeast, making stops at a rally in Rhode Island and attending rallies in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Maine in addition to attending an event in Michigan for Gov. Rick Snyder.

Christie is expected home for Election Day.
