Chris Harris Accepts Super Bowl 50 Tribute To Broncos From Colorado Lawmakers

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. was at the state Capitol on Wednesday to accept a Super Bowl 50 tribute.

HR-1009 recognizes the Broncos for their Super Bowl victory.

The Colorado House of Representatives presented the Broncos the tribute "in recognition of the team's contributions to the city of Denver and the state of Colorado," according to team.

Harris spoke to lawmakers on the House floor at Colorado's 70th General Assembly adjourning session -- something no other Bronco has ever done.

"It's an honor to do this, especially … this is your all Mile High," Harris told the lawmakers.

"This is their house, man. They don't let too many people in there, so for them to be able to welcome me in there is huge," Harris told CBS4. "The lady was telling me they don't let people just walk down the isles like that. They don't just let people go up to the mic and talk like that, so to be able to do that was amazing."

The got the CBS4 sports department to thinking -- which Bronco would make the best politician? Vote in the poll and see the results on Wednesday's CBS4 News at 10.
