Child Amputee Celebrates Success With Mobility Clinic

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Six-year-old Cavanaugh Kreb was born with legs that wouldn't grow. Now, not only can he stand on his own, but he can walk and even run, thanks to a Colorado organization

Cavanaugh was born with a rare disease that includes a deficiency of the tibia.

His El Paso County parents adopted him from a Chinese orphanage where, as a toddler, he was tied to a crib.

Today Cavanaugh lives a very active lifestyle and on Saturday will celebrate the new feet he is getting with an event.

The Colorado School of Mines will host an amputee run and stretch on May 2 for all ages and ability levels. Experts will offer amputees personalized instruction to aid stretching and strengthening.
