DNA On Lighter Led Investigators To Arson Suspect

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4)- A man has been arrested in connection with fires burning along the Cherry Creek Trail.

The fires in April caused concern for nearby homes and businesses in Parker. One fire forced a school into lock out status.

Investigators say DNA on a lighter and matches found at the scene helped them track down the suspect.

Jake Payne appeared in court where his bond was set at $5,000. If convicted, he could face anywhere from four to 12 years in prison.
