Charges Filed In Sexual Assault And Car Theft Case

DENVER (CBS4)- Two men accused of picking up a woman in Denver, while in a stolen car, then sexually assaulting her on the way to Glenwood Springs, have been formally charged.

Robert Pacheco and Michael Clapper are accused of picking up the woman in a stolen car in Denver on June 12 and then dropping her off near Glenwood Springs after Pacheco allegedly assaulted her.

Pacheco, 34, allegedly sexually assaulted the 34-year-old victim multiple times in the back of the stolen vehicle after she accepted a ride from the men. Pacheco has been charged with sexual assault and aggravated motor vehicle theft.

Clapper, 24, has been charged with aggravated motor vehicle assault.

Both men are scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on June 26 at 9:30 a.m. for their second advisement of the charges.
