Charges Dropped Against 1 Of The Suspects In Murder Of Aspen Socialite
ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) - The district attorney has dropped charges against one of three people accused of killing an Aspen socialite.
Nancy Styler has been cleared of the crime. Nancy, her husband William, and Katherine Carpenter were all accused in the murder of Nancy Pfister.
"The district attorney filed a motion to dismiss all charges against Nancy Styler today," the district attorney's office said in a statement. "This motion asks that the charges of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder and accessory after the fact to first degree murder be dismissed against Ms. Styler."
The statement goes on to say additional evidence was found this week which led to the filing of the motion.
"With the new information received and a lack of other evidence refuting the new information the district attorney could not prove that Ms. Styler was involved in the crimes," the statement said.
Pfister's father founded Buttermilk Ski Resort. Her body was found in a closet at her home back in February.
