Ceremony Will Mark One Year Since Arapahoe High Shooting

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) - A candlelight ceremony to mark one year since the deadly shooting at Arapahoe High School will take place on Saturday night.

On Dec. 13, 2013, student Claire Davis was shot by a classmate who then took his own life. Davis died eight days after the shooting.

The school built a memorial in her honor called Clarity Commons.

On Saturday at 5 p.m., Davis' father, Gov. John Hickenlooper and the community will come together for a remembrance ceremony.

Organizers will also collect donations for Meals On Wheels and Denver Health's family crisis center.
