Centennial Residents Alerted Of Bear Sighting

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office alerted residents early Wednesday morning of a possible bear sighting.

Officials particularly warned those who live near Abbott Park in the area of South University Boulevard and East County Line Road in Centennial.

A viewer told CBS4 there was a bear spotted several blocks north at East Mineral Avenue and South University Boulevard about 6:15 a.m.

An emergency notification call went out to thousands of residents in that area early Wednesday to warn them about the bear.

The bear hasn't been seen since sunrise.
