CDOT To Shut Down Part Of Interstate 70 For More Rock Blasting

IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews with the Colorado Department of Transportation will be shutting down Interstate 70 in Colorado's high country for a short time on Tuesday afternoon to do rock blasting work.

Last week mitigation work was done west of Idaho Springs between Fall River Road and Dumont. Crews will be back at the same spot starting at 11 a.m.

Closures of the highway and frontage roads should last for about 20 minutes at a time, but drivers can expect delays of up to an hour.
