CDOT Begins Work On 'Climbing' Lane On I-25 In Northern Colorado

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Work is now underway for the expansion of Interstate 25 in Northern Colorado.

Crews are adding an extra "climbing" lane between Loveland and Fort Collins. It will run specifically from Highway 56 to south of Weld County Road 38. The hope is to relieve congestion on the highway.

The Colorado Department of Transportation expects to both start and finish the project at a cost of $9.5 million.

CDOT also mentioned the new express lanes on I-25 near U.S. 36 as another project helping travelers.
