CBS4 Viewer Captures Good Video Of Tornado In Northeastern Colorado

PEETZ, Colo. (CBS4) – A tornado touched down near the northeastern Colorado town of Peetz in Logan County Monday afternoon.

CBS4 viewer Jason Hawley captured video of the tornado that was reportedly on the ground for approximately 15 minutes.

According to the Logan County Sheriff's Office, there were three confirmed tornado touchdowns in the county.

Wind speeds were clocked at 55 mph at the Sterling Municipal Airport. According to the sheriff's office, cloud rotation was spotted in the area of Highway 113 and County Road 32 and near County Roads 37 and 74. One tornado was spotted at County Roads 37 and 74.

"Structure damages were reported to a barn in that area and minor damage to a residence. Power poles were also damaged. There were no injuries reported or further damage at this point," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
