DENVER (CBS4) - Spring and summer in Colorado mean plenty of long sunny days that are perfect for being outside.

But the warm season also brings several weather hazards including tornadoes, flash floods, damaging hail, deadly lightning and severe wind.

The week of April 12-18, 2015, is Colorado Severe Weather Preparedness Week, a time to review important information and safety tips to make sure you and your family are weather ready.
