CarGo's $100,000 Donation To Boys & Girls Club Is 'Just The First Step'

DENVER (CBS4) - Still recovering from minor injuries, Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez was in the lineup on Tuesday. But not before he did a great thing off the field.

CarGo presented a check from his Carlos Gonzalez Foundation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver for $100,000 before the game at Coors Field.

"It was something that I always wanted to do, being able to help kids, and helping the Boys and Girls Club is definitely one of the things that I was looking to do," Gonzalez said. "It just makes me really happy to be able to contribute, and hopefully we can continue to do it in the future … it's just the first step."
