Investigators with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office say the vehicle came off Grace Boulevard before striking the homes. They're still working to try to figure out what led up to the vehicle leaving the road.

"He had to be like way up in the air," said Scoty Griffin. "I was told they were leaving off of Grace Avenue (Boulevard) turning left onto Fairview and kind of flew completely up into the air smashed this garage and into the other garage."

South Metro Fire says when they arrived on scene, they found the driver still in the car. The male driver was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators hope to learn more information once they are able to speak with him.

No one else was injured in the crash.

"It's actually a miracle that only he would have been injured. It's unfortunate of course, but it's amazing he didn't hit a car or smash into the house even 10 feet to the north he would have potentially hit somebody."
