Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Struck By Car
DENVER (CBS4) - A car stuck a pedestrian in southwest Denver on Friday night.
The victim is in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center.
The accident happened at South Federal Boulevard and Amherst Avenue. Police have closed the intersection while they investigate.
Police said the driver is cooperating with the investigation. They don't believe alcohol was a factor, and they're checking to see whether excessive speed played a role.
Denver police said the area is prone to accidents.
Surveillance cameras near the accident may help determine what happened, police said.
