Fully-Engulfed Car Fire Causes Partial Closure Of I-70

SILVER PLUME, Colo. (CBS4) - As many were getting their holiday weekend started, a vehicle fire caused trouble on Interstate 70 near Silver Plume on Saturday morning.

Details about what caused the fire have not been released.

Colorado State Patrol says a 40-year-old woman was the only person in the Jeep and was not hurt.

Emergency crews responded, but stopped traffic until the fire was out.

Traffic was allowed to proceed about 30 minutes later.
