Car Crashes Through Barrier On I-25 Offramp

DENVER (CBS4) - Emergency crews closed the ramp from Interstate 25 onto Alameda Avenue on Wednesday morning after a car crashed through a concrete barrier.

The white sedan slid about 10 feet down an embankment next to the South Platte River after the impact with the barrier. It came to a stop in a group of trees. Tire swerve marks were visible on the roadway.

The closure, which started just after 7:30 a.m. led to delays on I-25 southbound. The ramp reopened after 9 a.m.

The occupants of the vehicle were seen walking around after the crash and talking with police.
