"We have a telephone pole that's down and that's a concern that it might pop. That could be a problem," said Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson.

The SUV driver was taken into custody because investigators believe he was under the influence of drugs.

Witnesses told CBS4 the driver was very combative when he was taken into custody and telling officers that he was "sick."

Marczyk's was evaluated for structural damage before crews removed the SUV.

"It was an incredibly explosive entry into our store ... there was just glass everywhere. We have the crew cleaning it up. It was a real mess ... it was a bad accident. There was some structural damage to the building. Nobody was hurt; miraculously nobody was hurt," store owner Pete Marczyk said.
