Snow Helps Crews Fight Cameron Peak Fire, Concerns Grow Over Warm, Dry Forecast
LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Cameron Peak Fire hasn't grown since Monday night. The largest wildfire in Colorado history has burned 208,663 acres and remains 64% contained.
Firefighters said the heavy snow that fell over the weekend has stopped the fire from growing so quickly. Crews are worried that could change with warmer temperatures and dry conditions in the forecast for the next week.
Despite the snow, smoke was seen rising from the burn area on Tuesday.
