Inmate Mad About Not Getting Cookie Guilty Of Throwing Feces On Deputies

DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver Detention Center inmate mad about not getting a cookie and throwing feces on deputies has been found guilty of second-degree assault.

According to Lynn Kimbrough with the Denver District Attorney's Office, Calvin Johnson, 45, was convicted of two counts of second-degree assault after being accused of throwing feces and urine at Denver sheriff deputies on two separate occasions.

One incident occurred on Jan. 8.

"Johnson created a mixture of feces, water, and/or urine while in his jail cell, which he referred to as a "sh**bomb." He then lured a deputy sheriff to his cell and struck him on the front side of his upper body with the material," Kimbrough said in a statement.

Another incident occurred on Jan. 10.

"Johnson stuck a different deputy sheriff with a similar mixture. The testimony showed Johnson intended to provoke the deputies to a physical fight because his demands about his meal schedule, including the addition of a cookie, were not being met," Kimbrough said.

Johnson was convicted of one count of first-degree murder by a jury. The body of Teodoro Leon, 50, was found in an alley near 10th Avenue and Acoma Street in the morning hours of Jan. 1. He had been stabbed to death.

He faces life in prison without parole when he is sentenced on July 22.
