DENVER (CBS4) - Dozens of business owners and workers rallied in downtown Denver on Wednesday, calling for a higher minimum wage.

The demonstrators are part of the Colorado Families for a Fair Wage campaign. They want a ballot initiative that would ask voters to approve an increase in the minimum wage to $12 by 2020.

The group continues to gather signatures with a 99,000 signature goal needed to qualify for the November ballot. So far, they have collected 25,000 signatures from across Colorado in places like Alamosa, Canon City, Golden and Denver.
