Business Owner Believes Man Smashed Window To Go To Jail

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A business owner in Colorado Springs believes a homeless man smashed out the windows at his store so he could go to jail.

Police say the suspect, Patrick Daily, caused $13,000 in damage to Rudledge's. The attack startled one of the owners in the store.

"I thought someone was shooting, which I found was a little strange. Then I came down to see a gentleman just bashing windows in. He was using a crowbar type of thing... it wasn't an actual crowbar, but... " said Rutledge's part owner Luke Faricy.

A Good Samaritan tackled the suspect. He was arrested. Crews cleaned up the mess and replaced the windows on Tuesday morning.
