High School Students Cash In With Scholarship Competition

DENVER (CBS4) - Ten Colorado high school seniors got some help paying for college after winning the Burg Simpson College Scholarship competition.
The law firm awarded $1,000 college scholarships to nine seniors. A 10th -- the top winner -- got $2,500.
All of the students wrote an essay explaining the importance of the civil jury system in America.
The winners were given their awards Saturday night during the Colorado state boys 5A basketball championship basketball game.
