Buffs Putting Finishing Touches On Folsom Field Upgrade

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews at Folsom Field are hurrying to finish upgrades to seats ahead of the football team's home opener against Arizona State on Saturday.

They're upgrading the seats in the north end zone, and a lot of those seats have yet to be installed.

"It is a monumental effort. The biggest effort is to make sure our seats are done for Saturday, and they will be. I know there has been some concern, but (construction company) Mortensen has done a good job ratcheting it up. I think when people come into Folsom Field this weekend they're going to see a significant difference in the northeast end zone," CU Athletic Director Rick George said.

The players are happy, too.

"There's something about having a closed stadium that feels better. It's more fun to play in. It's like a bowl," Buffs linebacker Addison Gillam said. "The team is excited. Everyone is looking forward to it. Can't wait."
