Buffs 'Moving On' After Team Is Blindsided By QB Webb

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – The Colorado Buffaloes were shocked on Wednesday when they learned that quarterback Davis Webb reneged on his commitment to CU.

The former Texas Tech quarterback was supposed to transfer to CU in the summer but he now says he'll go to California.

Webb verbally committed to the Buffs more than three months ago and as recently as Tuesday he was telling CU coaches he was still coming to Boulder.

In a statement released Wednesday night, CU coach Mike MacIntyre said the Buffs are "moving on."

Last year's quarterback, Sefo Liufau, has a foot injury and his status for the fall is uncertain. Redshirt freshman quarterback Steven Montez worked with the first team offense this spring.
