Brush Won't Open Pot Shop In Old Prison

BRUSH, Colo. (CBS4) - The northeastern Colorado town of Brush will not convert an old correctional facility into a pot shop.

The city council in the town, about 100 miles northeast of Denver, voted Monday night to continues its three-year ban on marijuana sales.

Plan proponents said opening a marijuana grow shop would help offset job losses in the town of roughly 5,500 residents. The closure of the High Plains Correctional Facility contributed to a lot of unemployment.
