Broncos Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips Carted Off Field
DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was carted off the field.
During an interception return in Sunday's game against the Chargers, Phillips took a hit on the sidelines.
Medical staff immediately responded to him, loading him onto a cart and transporting him to the locker room.

The Broncos posted on their site that the 69-year-old Phillips "fell backward and hit his head after impact."
Phillips was seen moving his hands as he departed for the locker room, pointing his index finger into the air.
Patrick Smyth, the Broncos Vice President for Public Relations, tweeted about Phillips, saying he is going to the hospital.
After being injured in sideline collision, Wade Phillips was taken to hospital for evaluation. He's alert & has movement in all extremities.

He is "alert and has movement in all extremities," Smyth tweeted.
Phillips was seen moving his hands as he departed, pointing his index finger into the air.
